Ballybane Voices - oral history / folklore podcast
In 2018 I worked on a wonderful audio project based in Ballybane library, which is located in East Galway, Ireland. Once a week I met up with a group of parents meet up to chat about culture, history, society and much more. The recordings have a rich range of working class, Traveller and migrant voices. The project was funded by KBC Bank’s Bright Ideas Fund, and supported by Ballybane Library and the Home School Liaison Programme. Galway City Museum also helped out with equipment and great advice.What I loved about the project was the opportunity it gave me to meet amazing people and listen to their incredible stories.
